Founder & Lead Makeup Artist
Chris began her beauty career in 1999 as a Clinique advisor and never looked back. With over two decades in cosmetics working with Chanel, Estee Lauder, Laura Mercier, Lancome, and more, she brings pro-level artistry with a warm, approachable, “beauty should be simple” vibe.
After specialized bridal training with Julie Swenson and years of freelancing, Chris launched Gunpowder ’N Gloss in 2014, expanding into a full cosmetic line by 2017.
Her motto?
“I want to resonate within the cosmetic industry that beauty can be simple, pretty, and easy! A few items can enhance your natural beauty and make you feel tuff & pretty!”Certifications:

ON-LOCATION POLICIES
What to Know Before the Big Day

• Trial appointment: paid day of
• Travel fees: due at trial or month of wedding
• Bridal party payments: 7 days prior or Venmo/Cash/Check day-of
• $50 non-refundable deposit required to secure your date -

Include bride’s name + date when possible. -
• No minimum unless two artists are requested
• Each additional artist requires 4+ booked services -
• $0.70/mile roundtrip outside Stillwater, MN
• Long distances (2+ hrs) may require overnight stay -
• Agreement is binding
• Cancellations within 30 days = full charge
• Canceling a second artist within 7 days = $250 fee -
Schedule 6–8 weeks before wedding at Studio 8 (Stillwater).
